Greater Manchester bus timetable linked data

This is a linked data version of bus timetable data for Greater Manchester in the UK. It is based on open data in ATCO-CIF format, made available through Greater Manchester's open data portal http://datagm.org.uk. See http://datagm.org.uk/package/atco-cif for details.

It combines the schedule data with location information on bus stops from the 'NaPTAN' dataset available through http://transport.data.gov.uk

The end result is a queryable resource for bus timetable and bus route information.

We are currently aware of two bus timetable apps that have been built on top of this data: http://gmbuses.heroku.com/ and http://bmbr.co/nextbus/

The data is currently a snapshot from 29/03/2011. Updated data is released weekly on datagm.org.uk and work is in progress to set up an automatic updating process to keep the linked data up to date.
