International Open Data Hackathon Day is an annual event in which people around the world gather to write applications, liberate data, create visualisations and publish analyses using open public data to show support for and encourage the adoption of open data policies by the world's local, regional and national governments.
The Open Knowledge Foundation and CKAN will be running an open data hack day at the Barbican in London in support of the event. More details here: http://www.meetup.com/OpenKnowledgeFoundation/London-GB/536442/
