How to Contribute to ShlokaAI
Thank you for your interest in contributing!
ShlokaAI is a tool for the whole BAMS and Digital Ayurveda community, and your help is welcome.
💬 Ways to Contribute
We primarily welcome contributions in two forms:
- 🐞 Bug Reports: Noticing the tool isn't working as expected.
- 💡 Feature Suggestions: Ideas for new analysis templates or new tool features.
🐞 Reporting Bugs
If you find a bug (for example, the analysis fails, the count is wrong, or the export is broken), please open an issue and include the following:
- A clear, descriptive title (e.g., “Analysis fails when concept map is empty”).
- The steps to reproduce the bug.
- The concept map JSON you used (if any).
- A sample of the Sanskrit text you used (if possible).
💡 Suggesting Enhancements
If you have an idea for a new feature (like a new Dravya Guna template or a new way to visualize text):
- open an issue and select the “Feature request” template.
- Explain the problem you’re trying to solve (e.g., “It’s hard to compare two shlokas…”).
- Describe your idea clearly and concretely.
🤝 Pull Requests
At this time, we are not actively seeking direct code contributions.
The best way to contribute is by providing high-quality bug reports and feature suggestions through the Issues tab.
Thank you for helping improve ShlokaAI for the Ayurvedic community! 🌿
