Reproduce the responsive chart release

2026 would need an October–December anomaly 0.17–0.18°C above the warmest previous final quarter to overtake 2024 in this monthly ERA5 calculation.

Reproduce the responsive chart release

This supplement supplies the mobile chart build without rewriting the approved story or its original reproduction block. Work from this folder with Python 3 and Node.js/npm:

npm ci --ignore-scripts
python3 2026-temperature-record-src/calculate.py
node 2026-temperature-record-make-charts.mjs
node make-mobile-charts.mjs

The two builders write the original desktop SVGs and the two -mobile.svg variants. They use the same frozen CSV, statistics, calendar weighting and snapshot; mobile delivery adds no observations or forecasts. The source CSV is preserved byte-for-byte, including its original trailing whitespace.

Release download paths (available only after an independently cleared release):

The README uses explicit absolute raw URLs because DataHub does not rewrite the srcSet on native <source> elements. Images select mobile SVGs at viewport widths up to and including 600px; larger viewports select the unchanged desktop SVGs. The preview=true query marks inline previews. Download links omit that query.

At 601px, the original desktop typography remains small. Breakpoint tests establish source selection and no overflow, not readability at that width. Review covers 390px and 1280px; no physical-device, screen-reader or comprehension-gain claim is made.
