About this dataset
Postal Codes Dataset for Bangladesh (BD)
This dataset contains Bangladeshi postal codes with divisions, districts and thanas/upazilas. Full three-tier admin coverage.
Column definitions, row count, size and last-updated date are in datapackage.yaml.
Data Sources
- Postal codes, place names, administrative divisions and coordinates: © GeoNames, postal code export for Bangladesh, CC BY 4.0.
Changes made to the source data: rows that GeoNames labels "Dhaka Division" but codes separately from the other Dhaka Division rows (districts Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Netrakona and Sherpur) are relabelled "Mymensingh Division", the division created in 2015, so the dataset reflects Bangladesh's current division structure.

The dataset files are available in CSV format and can be accessed and downloaded using
the links provided in datapackage.yaml.
