About this dataset
Postal Codes Dataset for Turkmenistan (TM)
This dataset lists the 6-digit postal codes of Turkmenistan's post office branches, with the branch name, the region (the welayat provinces, Ashgabat and Arkadag) and the branch's street address.
Column definitions, row count, size and last-updated date are in datapackage.yaml.
Data Sources
- Postal codes, branch names and street addresses: Turkmenpochta (TurkmenPost), the national postal operator, public branch locator at https://post.tm/departments. Turkmenpochta publishes no licence or terms of use
for this information; the dataset contains factual directory information only (branch names, postal codes and
public street addresses). See
ATTRIBUTION.txt.
Changes made to the source data: regions are given their ISO 3166-2:TM region code where one is assigned.
Not endorsed by, or affiliated with, Turkmenpochta.
Known limitations
place_nameis a post office branch name (e.g. "Merkezi PAB", "AH Gokdepe EPAM"), not a settlement or locality name: the source is a branch locator, not a geographic gazetteer.admin_name3carries the branch's street address, the finest location detail available.- Arkadag, a "city of state importance" inaugurated in 2023, has a blank
admin_code1because it carries no ISO 3166-2:TM code; its formal administrative relationship to Ahal province, from which it was carved, is not clearly resolved in public sources. - No coordinates: latitude and longitude are empty rather than estimated.

the links provided in datapackage.yaml.
